The Sun was your Mother

She bathed you in light as your eyes awoke from slumber

She watched, waiting to greet you with a loving warmth

and arms stretched wide across the horizon

But when she left

she left you in darkness.

In a world, cold and dark.

A world so deceptive and daring

which you were made to discover

alone

with just a remnant of breeze wishing you well

on the way.
